Newmarket, New Hampshire – TrueProp® Virtual Plugin 2026 (v9) is now available. V9 includes the latest advances in automated propeller detection algorithms. The simple and easy-to-use utility has been key to industry adoption of 3D propeller inspection, allowing propeller technicians to leverage modern metrology techniques in the workshop and on-site in shipyards, drydocks, and marinas.

Key Features of TrueProp Virtual Plugin 2026 (v9):

    • Streamlined Import Automation: A revised import dialog provides automated tools for isolating and identifying blade surfaces, including advanced settings for Thickness measurements.
    •  Import Large Data Files: Optimizations within the Plugin have increased the supported file size to 500MB, allowing scans to be brought in unoptimized with minimal reduction.
    • Save/Load Session: Users can now save their extraction setup, including embedding the imported geometry file right into a single, session-based ZIP project.
    • Enhanced Zoom/Pan: Interacting with the 3D window has never been more intuitive with position-accurate panning and mouse-wheel zoom “flight” mode.
Figure 2: Inspect the full propeller, not just the pressure face. The utility enables TrueProp to calculate the maximum thickness for each section on each blade for the most complete ISO-484 inspection process commercially available.
